Ismail Bin Ibrahim Baaram is a Digital Merchandising Specialist at Marketing Zettabyte Pvt Ltd, contributing to the company’s approach to online product presentation, digital shopping experiences and commercial merchandising.

Having joined on 1 January 2020, during the company’s inception, he represents continuity across its early development and subsequent growth. His professional focus connects the practical requirements of maintaining accurate product information with the broader objective of helping customers discover, understand and evaluate products online. Working under the Specialist Team Head, he brings a structured approach to merchandising priorities, balancing presentation quality, customer relevance and the operational demands of digital commerce.

Beginning his career with the company as a Digital Merchandising Executive, Ismail’s foundational contribution centred on establishing dependable merchandising practices. His proposed remit included organising product information, reviewing descriptions and imagery, maintaining category consistency and supporting the preparation of online promotional content. During this initial stage, he helped shape repeatable working methods for product updates, content checks and coordination between merchandising and related functions. Rather than treating individual listings as isolated tasks, his approach considered how product information, navigation and promotional placement work together across the customer journey. These foundations provided a practical basis for developing a more organised merchandising function as business requirements expanded.

Between 2022 and early 2023, Ismail’s work developed towards broader coordination and the expansion of established processes while he continued in the Digital Merchandising Executive role. His proposed responsibilities encompassed supporting merchandising calendars, coordinating product-content requirements and helping colleagues maintain consistent presentation across larger workloads. This stage of his development focused on making the department’s work more repeatable through clearer priorities, documented review practices and timely communication. By connecting day-to-day execution with upcoming campaign requirements, he contributed to a working approach designed to accommodate growth without losing attention to product accuracy or customer understanding. His progression reflects the increasing importance of coordination alongside practical merchandising delivery.

Promoted to Digital Merchandising Specialist effective 22 January 2023, Ismail’s current profile combines specialist execution with functional guidance under the Specialist Team Head. His proposed scope includes reviewing merchandising opportunities, supporting category presentation, coordinating promotional readiness and using available performance information to identify areas for improvement. He aims to strengthen the relationship between product visibility, relevant content and a straightforward shopping experience, while encouraging shared standards across contributing teams. His longer-term direction is to develop a merchandising function that responds thoughtfully to customer behaviour and business priorities. Through careful planning, consistent review and collaborative working, he seeks to support Marketing Zettabyte’s continued development in digital commerce and build a dependable foundation for future merchandising initiatives.
